The Giant and the Dwarf (the MFAP) are inhabitants of the BL. They are the master spirits. Even though the MFAP tells us that he is the Arm (FWWM), he is again lying, he is the same spirit that inhabits Gerard (still, from time to time). (<-- I am NOT sure with this...)
He only claims to be the Arm so that the humans involved will believe the story about Mike having seen the face of God. The Giant is also from the BL, even though he too appears as a friendly spirit to Coop. The Giant goes to a great deal of trouble to give Coop the impression that he is trustworthy and helpful ("I will tell you three things..."). He also wants to find BOB, being threatened by BOB's power. The two of them are using Coop and others to help track down BOB so that they can stop him.
