The Major

When the Major returns from his forest abduction, he doesn't know how long he has been gone (he has been in the BL so he cannot know what time has passed here), and without any concrete memories of his experience. But he does believe that he has been taken to the White Lodge. This is only true in that he has had contact with the WL Spirits in the forest. He has actually been taken to the BL.

When the Major tells his son Bobby about the dream of the great white house in ep8, many have interpreted this as a premonition that he is going to be taken to the WL. But this dream is not about the WL. It is a much more mundane dream about the Major and his son. The white house he dreams of is a symbol of himself (in dreams symbolism, a house is often a symbol of the self). The house is one which he hasn't visited for many years, it has been immaculately maintained, some new rooms added - but seamlessly. This reveals the Major's view of himself, he is reevaluating his life, which he hasn't done for many years, and has a positive view of what he has achieved in his life. Then comes a knock at the door - his son, they embrace, and the Major is filled with the feeling of hope and promise. So this dream is really just about the Major and Bobby -- it has nothing to do with the WL.
